Both of the kids did it when they were little…just carrying on the tradition.

mother's day {2014}

The kids and I celebrated Mother's Day together.  Jackson wanted to go to Craig's Cruisers and said I could "pick out what games we played and what rides we rode."  Ultimately I chose to surprise them with a stop for the new birthday cake timbits and a trip to the zoo.  According to Jack it was 'the best Mother's Day ever' and I would have to agree!

After the zoo, we went to let Sparky out and decided to check out the beach.

John did make it home and surprised me with a James Avery charm…he definitely knows where to show when he is in Texas!

t-ball {#4}

This morning was the first t-ball game of the season.  Jack talked me into buying him some batting gloves.  After the game, he told me that they gave him 'awesome powers.'  He was also catcher for the game today…which I think limited his playing in the dirt time. Jackson batted both left and right handed today…switch hitting practice??

{spring} soccer

Spring soccer started a couple of weeks ago.  I finally was able to go today to watch.  Definitely some improvement from the fall.

{welcome} sparky

We have been counting down and today was finally the day!!  Meet Sparky, the newest member of our family.  He was born March 10th and is a Goldendoodle.  The kids love him!

Now the potty training fun begins...

daddy/daughter {dance}

We had high hopes for Game 3 of the Griffins/Heat series on Wednesday.  A win meant Daddy could go to the dance.  A loss meant Game 4 on Friday night.  The Griffins ended up losing in the final 2 minutes.  With a upset little girl in the back seat after the game, I made a call to see if Grandpa Bernal would go to the dance with her.  He, of course, said yes...
