the cup {day 1}

We planned a party for our day with the Calder Cup.  It was wonderful to be surrounded by family and friends who had supported us throughout the years!

Tonight we dropped off our school supplies, found our lockers and met our teachers.

 (with 2 Madison's in her class...everything is gonna be 'Madison B.' this year)

summer fun {the end}

Our shorter than usual summer is winding down.  We didn't accomplish everything on our summer fun board but we had fun and made memories trying!

Bonus...adding and being able to check off winning the Calder Cup!  We will take a shorter summer every year if it means our team wins the championship.

After the Tigers game we surprised the kids by staying in a hotel with a small water park.  We played Friday night and Saturday morning.  The kids loved the tube rides and the lazy river!

Then we were off the Grandma and Grandpa's so John and I could go to the Kid Rock concert.

We went to the Tigers-Royals game at Comerica Park.  The Tigers didn't win but we enjoyed riding the carousel and the baseball ferris wheel.  It was a nice day at the ballpark!
