Jack is doing much better today. We have to be careful during baths so he is back in the baby tub. Today he got his bath outside.

Baby Dolly
These pictures are from a few nights ago. Maddie was playing with one of her baby dollies and trying to put her hair up.
What a Weekend!!
We had a very eventful weekend starting after I got home Friday night from working 14 hours. Jack just wasn't himself and had been puking for an hour. I woke up Maddie, loaded everyone up and off to the ER we went. Jack continued to vomit and couldn't keep down liquids so they inserted an IV for fluids. Things continued to go downhill from there...bloody stool and suspicious x-rays. Maddie and my mom left at 3am so Maddie could get some rest. Jack and I stayed in the ER til almost 4am then we were admitted to the hospital for test to determine if Jack had an intussusception. Jack and I went to radiology at 5am for an enema and to confirm the diagnosis and see if the enema could fix it. The enema only fixed it 75% of the way, so surgery was scheduled. John was in California during all this for work, so he hops on the 7am flight back to Phoenix. Jack went into surgery around 7:30am to repair the intussusception and make sure the bowel hadn't been damaged. We had the best possible scenario once they entered and they also removed his appendix as it looked a little irritated. John made it back and met me in recovery. Jack did extremely well and was a little trooper thru it all.
(This was the one day that I hadn't put my camera back in my purse so I have no pictures from ER thru the surgery. I did take a few with my phone. Mom then brought my camera on Saturday after surgery.)
The peds floor had wonderful nurses and staff that took great care of us!!

Jack after surgery Saturday morning.
Resting...I think he slept 30 minutes in this bed after surgery. He wanted to be held and I didn't mind!! It didn't bother him to lay on the incision.

The incision...doesn't seem to bother him much.
After we got the IV out and the OK to be discharged.
Mim took them on a wagon ride
Playing in the fabulous play room while waiting to go home. It's amazing how fast they recover and bounce back!!
We are home now and Jack is back to crawling all over and pulling hair!! We are slowly catching up on sleep. John flew back to California this morning to finish there and will be back tonight. We appreciate all the calls of concern and offers to help...we have great family and friends!!!

ASU Baseball
We took Maddie to the ASU baseball game today. It was a little warm today-98 degrees...10 degrees warmer than yesterday. I know it's only gonna get warmer!!!! Needless to say we didn't make it thru the entire game in the sun.
Sparky---the ASU mascot. Maddie liked him from a distance. But no high five when he came by us.

Yesterday was Jack's first 'Opening Day' so we dressed up for the occasion. As you can see Jack was more interested in everything else.
