{butterflies} are blooming

We checked out the 'butterflies are blooming' exhibit at Frederik Meijer Gardens this morning. Pretty neat to see them all up close! Maddie can't wait for it to get warmer here, so we can order some caterpillars for her butterfly garden.

{maple} syrup

We went to learn about making maple syrup today. With the earlier warmer weather this year, the maple syrup season started 2 weeks sooner than previous years. In turn, maple syrup season ended last week. We still learned about the process, but in reality they were just boiling water in the sugar shack today! It was still fun to see how it is done!

we traded snow boots for flip flops and checked out a local park...

We're loving spring and the above normal temps!

zoo's {open}

We met the Arehart family and had fun at the zoo. A lot of the animals are still gone for winter but with the warmer weather that we have had lately, they should be back soon.

jimmy's b-day {5}

Since we are so close to family now, we were able to go and celebrate Jimmy's birthday!

We stopped by the children's museum after dance class.

We made really big bubbles while waiting for Mim to

finish getting her infusion a few blocks away.

(I caught the biggest bubble just as it popped!)
