Pat-a-Cake

Grammy has taught Maddie how to clap to "pat-a-cake." Most of the time she will start clapping when you sing "pat-a-cake." She is also starting to clap when we clap our hands. I think it is too cute so I thought I would share...

First Tooth

If you look closely, you can see Maddie's first tooth on the bottom.

T-Shirt Finally Fits

The "My dad rides a Harley" t-shirt that I bought John as a gift when I told him I was pregnant finally fits Maddie. We even had a orange, black, & white bow to match...imagine that!!!

Found the Fridge

"Mommy, do we need A-1 with our dinner?"
" So many things to touch...so little time you let me play!"

On camera!!

I finally caught Maddie on camera standing all by herself. She can't hold it for very long but nothing stops her from trying. If she keeps it up at this pace, I think we will have an early walker.
Other big news...Maddie's first tooth is coming thru!!!

Updates...

The busy time of the year for us has started at our house. John left this week for training camp in Phoenix. My mom is back to help us out watching Maddie. We are so thankful that she can do this for us since John and I don't have normal work schedules. She got an apartment for the winter here...my dad will come when it get a little colder in Michigan. Maddie can actually go to "Grammy's house" now.
There is no stopping Maddie now. Her crawling has picked up speed. She has figured out there is more to the downstairs besides the living room. She now has found the kitchen (the dishwasher...the cabinets...the chairs, etc) and makes frequent visits. I have learned to shut the doors of areas I don't want her in. She definitely keeps us busy and we love every moment of it.

Bow Obsession

Ok...so I admit I have a little problem when it come to bows for Maddie's hair (I'm so thankful all of it never fell out). If there was a "bow buyers anonymous" group I probably should join. This is not even all the bows we own in the picture. I should have got a bigger board cause that little bit of extra room won't last too long. We have a bow that matches almost every outfit...if not I will make one or there is always white. We also rarely leave the house without a bow...I think I even came back in the house today to grab one (can you say obsession). At least I admit it and there are more expensive things out there. I just can't wait til Maddie's hair grows longer...so many bigger bows and possibilities are endless :)

8 months old

Maddie is 8 months old today. She is growing so fast...and into everything. No rest for Mommy and Daddy. She has mastered crawling...pulling up on furniture to standing...and even getting back down to the floor pretty gracefully. What next???
